Dr. Saurabh Singhal is a Senior Consultant and Director of the Centre for Liver-GI Diseases and Transplantation (CLDT) at Aakash Healthcare, Delhi, with 17 years of overall experience and a decade of specialist practice in hepato-pancreato-biliary (HPB) surgery and liver transplantation. He has performed over 1,600 liver transplants across all types - adult and paediatric - making him one of the most experienced liver transplant surgeons in India. Dr. Singhal completed his MBBS and MS in General Surgery from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, followed by a Fellowship in Foregut and Hepatobiliary Surgery in the USA (Omaha and Phoenix) and a Fellowship in Liver Transplant & HPB Surgery at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi. He is also trained in minimally invasive and robotic surgery, having completed a Senior Residency in Minimally Access and Robotic Surgery at AIIMS and a Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery. Dr. Singhal has contributed extensively to academic medicine, with numerous publications and book chapters in leading journals and textbooks on liver transplantation, oesophageal surgery, and innovative surgical techniques.
