Dr. Anand says, “Brain fog is a term used to denote lack of concentration, thinking or memory in a normal person after infection or stress or use of chemotherapeutic agents after taking alcohol or recreational drugs. It is a vague term and many times patients find it very difficult to explain to the doctor. Many patients struggle to articulate what they are experiencing, making brain fog a vague yet disruptive condition.”

The Link to Neurological Inflammation

Dr Anand highlights it has become more common after COVID-19. One primary theory that our expert suggests is that brain fog results from neuroinflammation. After an infection, the body produces antibodies to fight off viruses or bacteria.
