Most skins need to be spring cleaned regularly to have that fair, clear and glowing look. I find it surprising that having a glowing complexion is the ultimate desire of every one, but most women are not even prepared to spend 10 minutes a day for their skins. Women have to realize that skins demand attention and pampering.
Oily skin looks greasy and is prone to accumulate dirt and grains this leads to two very common problems-whiteheads and blackheads.
Whiteheads
Whiteheads are tiny little nodules of trapped oil just below the skins surface. They give an uneven and bumpy look to the skin. Try to go to a well-known and good acoustician to get rid of them. Cleansing grains should be used daily and can be made by mixing together any of these powdered natural ingredients-orange peel, rice and dry pea powder-with rose water to make a thick paste like consistency and incorporate into your lifestyle daily if you have whiteheads. The best way to void whiteheads is to keep the skin scrupulously clean and free from any excess oil build-up.

Blackheads
Blackheads are hardened sebum, which blackens with exposure to the air, and are embedded deep into the pores. These, if not taken care of lead to pimples and acne. Deep pore cleansing is a must and one could do this after a slight massage using a gentle face scrub. You can massage the areas with two tsp of orange and two tsp of honey. The combination of orange juice which is slightly acidic and honey are good for oily skins, a face scrub can be used similar to the one used to remove whiteheads. If you have very deep blackheads and have not bothered to clean them, seek professional help to clean them out. In fact if there are many blackheads there's a possibility that the first few times the skin will not look completely clean but with regular treatment of blackheads removal the skin will begin to clear up. If you want to steam your face do so with herbs like lavender, lemon peel and mint leaves added to the water and let the skin soak up their natural goodness. Reduce the oiliness of the skin and whiteheads and blackheads will reduce too.
It is important that you drink at least 10-12 glasses of water a day and eat sensible diet. Eat whole wheat, chappatis and take lots of green vegetables like spinach, cabbage, beans, etc.To avoid blackheads and whiteheads you have to follow the golden rule of keeping your skin squeaky clean and this has to be done like a habit. In fact it is quite similar to brushing your teeth everyday so if you are one of those thousands who brush their teeth everyday always remember that the first time you meet someone you do not look into their mouths but see their face first, so if you also spend just 5-10 minutes a day cleaning and exfoliating the skin you will never have any skin problems and your skin will glow and shine naturally.
Open pores
Open pores or as in a layman's language 'holes' in the skin are very common especially in oily skin types. Open pores are actually enlarged pores, these pores become enlarged due to the excessive oil secretion and lack of tightening masks that both clean and absorb excess moisture.Using an antiseptic face wash or tonic, which has been refrigerated, will help reduce oiliness. You can mash one banana and apply the pulp on the face for 20 minutes and then wash off or you can rub tomato halves on the face and let the skin soak up its juice. Another effective face pack can be made from 4-5 pieces of papaya refrigerated for 20 minutes, mashing the pieces and applying them to the face for 15 minutes and then washing off. Bananas, tomato and papaya are also known to have a cleansing and tightening effect on the skin.
Keep one ice tray filled with rose water and use these fabulous rose water ice cubes to keep your skin toned and tightened. Natural clay packs of 4 tsp fuller's earth and the juice of one lemon are also excellent for women who suffer from this particular problem.
Most women tend to be silent about their skin problems until the problem increases and it cannot be ignored anymore. It is like having a headache and hoping against hope that it will disappear on its own without any help. I have seen that most women try to look for beauty solutions in fancy salons and beauty products alone not realizing that beauty is not skin deep but is an internal as well as external problem and therefore must be treated both internally and externally.
All these specific skin problems that we have talked about today must be very carefully treated keeping in mind that the magic formula lies in creating the right balance between external and internal treatments.
