How to Avoid Feeling Like a Bad Parent?

Parenting is not easy. Many times you have to make tough decisions like withholding your son’s trip to the mall or his pocket money. Reprimanding your child shouldn’t make you feel bad and similarly, if you are a working mother, don’t feel bad about not spending enough time with your child.


It’s always tough to know if you are doing a good job raising your child. If you look around there will be many people to tell you what to do and how to do it and probably even point out mistakes in your parenting. However, it is important to stay confident and understand that you are doing everything for your child’s gain. Your parenting skills are probably far more advanced that you give yourself credit for.  You should retrospect your parenting skills sometimes as this will help you formulate a plan for more effective parenting in future. Remember that no one is a perfect parent and we all make mistakes from time to time.
