Dr. (Prof.) Purshotam Lal is an Interventional Cardiologist with over 35 years of clinical experience and is the Chairman and Chief Interventional Cardiologist at Metro Group of Hospitals. He has extensive expertise in complex coronary interventions, structural heart procedures, congenital heart disease interventions and non-surgical alternatives to open-heart surgery. He founded Metro Group of Hospitals in 1997 and has played a significant role in the development of interventional cardiology in India. He is credited with introducing more than 20 interventional cardiology procedures in the country.
