Yoga is known to keep a person active and energised. Practise the following asanas regularly to stay active during the winter season.
Surya Namaskar
Sun salutation is a series of 12 poses performed in a set sequence. This should ideally be your first yoga asana as it prepares the body for other challenging poses & mudras.
Adho Mukha Svanasana
This asana is also known as the downward facing dog asana. It helps in relaxing the neck and head which in turn keeps you more active throughout the day.
Virabhadrasana
Virabhadrasana or the warrior pose helps in primarily strengthening the legs and core. Once that is done, you feel more energised and active.
Trikonasana
Trikonasana or the triangle pose is for stretching both the sides of the body including legs and hips. Hold the position for a few breaths and the switch for each side.
Perform these asanas on a regular basis and notice a change for yourself. Don't forget to listen to your body while trying these poses.
