Dough Preparation

Sift whole wheat flour with a pinch of salt, and add some water to make a smooth, soft dough, which should rest for 15 minutes.

Roll the Paratha

Carefully roll the stuffed dough ball into a circle, sprinkling flour to avoid sticking. Roll gently to make sure the filing stays inside and doesn’t spill out.

Cook the Paratha

Heat a tawa or skillet. Pan-fry with a bit of oil or ghee now and then on both sides until golden brown and crispy. The dish is served hot with either yoghurt or pickle.
