Ingredients required
1.5 cups white sesame seeds, 1.5 cups chikki wala gud, ¾ cup dried coconut grated, 1 tablespoon ghee, 1 cup peanuts roasted and crushed, ¾ cup chana dal, roasted, a pinch nutmeg powder.
Roasting White Sesame Seeds to Perfection
Heat a non-stick pan and add white sesame seeds. Roast them on low heat, stirring occasionally, until they become crisp and light brown. Once done, transfer them into a bowl.
Roasting Dried Coconut and Combining
In the same pan, add dried coconut and roast on low heat until it turns light brown. Once roasted, transfer it into the same bowl with sesame seeds and mix well.
Melting Jaggery and Preparing Syrup
In the same pan, heat ghee and add chikki-style jaggery. Let it melt, then cook on medium heat until the syrup thickens and reaches a hard ball consistency.
Mixing Ingredients and Shaping Laddoos
Add the sesame seed mixture to the melted jaggery. Then, mix in peanuts, roasted chana dal, and nutmeg powder. Roll into laddoos while hot and place them on a plate to cool.
Storing and Serving the Laddoos
Serve immediately or store the laddoos in an airtight container. They can be kept for later use, ensuring freshness and flavor when you’re ready to enjoy them.
