Indian market is flooded with fake or synthetic paneer, and dairy paneer tends to go bad in the summer. Learn how to make paneer at home in 10 minutes.
Ingredients
Two litres of milk, two tablespoons of lemon juice or vinegar, one-fourth teaspoon of salt and two cups of water.
Boil milk
Take a heavy-bottomed pan and pour full-fat milk. Bring it to a boil while stirring continuously to avoid burning.
Add lemon juice
Now, add lemon juice or vinegar to the milk. Let it sit for 2-3 minutes and stir it until the milk curdles.
Strain the water
Now, squeeze thand strain the paneer through a muslin cloth. This will separate milk solids from water.
Rinse paneer
Rinse the paneer under cold water to remove the sourness of the lemon. Sprinkle the paneer with some salt.
Freeze paneer
Wrap the paner with a muslin cloth and freeze it for 30-60 minutes. After this, cut the paneer into small cubes and serve.
