Navratri 2025: Make Crispy And Tasty Sabudana Tikki At Home!

The filling and appetising sabudana tikki are made with Sabudana (Sago) during the navratri festival helping us keep full during the fasting season. This delicious tikki (small cutlet) is very easy and simple to make. Tap to read its recipe!

Ingredients

Take a half cup of sabudana, one boiled and mashed potato, one chopped green chilli, two teaspoons roasted peanuts, and two teaspoons sultana raisins.

What else do you need?

Two teaspoons of boiled and peeled whole almonds, half teaspoon cumin powder, one-fourth teaspoon amchur powder (dry mango powder), rock salt, and peanut oil.

Preparation

Take a bowl, fill it with water and soak sabudana in it for 4-6 hours. Ensure the water is one inch above the sabudana.

Boil Potatoes

Take a vessel, add water, and boil potatoes in it . Once boiled, mash them, add soaked sabudana and other ingredients to them. Mix until it binds together.

Divide the Mixture

Once mixed properly, divide the mixture into medium sized patties and keep it aside for a while.

Heat Oil

Take a flat non-stick pan and heat oil in it. Once the oil is heated, add the prepared tikkis and cook both sides of it until golden brown and crisp.

Ready to Serve!

Your delicious and sattvic sabudana tikki is ready to be served.
