No carbohydrates
Sarfaraz eliminated roti, rice, sugar, flour, and bakery items from his diet. High-carbohydrate diets lead to insulin spikes and lead to weight gain.
High-fibre food
The cricketer shifted to a more fibrous diet, such as fruit and vegetable salads, broccoli and cucumbers, and sprouts.
High-protein food
He also included high-protein and healthy fat food items such as grilled chicken and fish and boiled eggs for protein and avocados for good fat.
Green tea and coffee
Sarfaraz also includes green tea and green coffee in his diet. Green coffee is rich in chlorogenic acid, which aids in weight loss.
Consistent workout
He includes functional and cardio exercises in his routine to reduce fat and burn more calories. It also improved his overall strength.
