Ingredients
One cup of soaked imli, 1-2 tablespoons of jaggery, a teaspoon of cumin powder, a teaspoon of red chilli powder, a teaspoon of anardana, 2-3 tablespoons of water, and a pinch of black salt.
Soak tamarind
Start by soaking the tamarind in warm water for 20-30 minutes. Once the tamarind is softened, extract the pulp.
Add jaggery and spices
In a pan, add the extracted tamarind pulp with water. Add cumin powder, red chilli powder, black salt, and anardana. Cook this until jaggery is completely dissolved.
Simmer
Let the chutney simmer on a low flame for 5-7 minutes until it starts to thicken. Turn off the flame and let it cool down to room temperature.
Store and serve
Store the chutney in an airtight container and refrigerate for two hours. Serve the sweet and spicy imli chutney with chaats, pakodas or snacks.
