Ingredients
Half a cup of rava/semolina/suji, half a cup of rice flour, one-fourth cup of maida, one tsp of salt, four cups of water, two chillies, one inch of ginger, two tbsp of coriander, two tsp of pepper, one tsp of cumin, oil, and one onion.
Prepare the batter
To prepare the batter, mix three cups of water, half a cup of rava, half a cup of rice flour, one-fourth cup of maida, and one teaspoon of salt. Stir well.
Add flavour
To enhance the flavour, add an inch of grated ginger, two tablespoons of chopped coriander, pepper, cumin, and two chopped green chillies. Let it rest for twenty minutes.
Check the consistency
The batter should flow and be slightly thin. Water may be added as required. Keep it smooth and lump-free.
Cooking the dosa
Start heating a pan for making dosas. Spread some chopped onions before pouring the batter over it. Sprinkle a teaspoon of oil and fry until crisp.
Serve
Remove the dosa when it is crisp and golden. Serve with hot tomato chutney.
