Ingredients
4-5 amla / Indian Gooseberry, two inches of ginger, 4-5 oranges, 1-2 limes or lemons peeled or juice, and two inches of fresh turmeric root or one teaspoon of turmeric powder.
Soak amla
Start by thoroughly washing amla and deseeding it. Soak the dried amla overnight or for 3-4 hours to soften it.
Blend ingredients
Take a mixer and add soaked amla, peeled oranges, ginger and limes. Blend it for 2-3 minutes until nice and smooth.
Strain the mixture
Strain the mixture using a sieve or a muslin cloth. This will remove the seeds and coarse particles.
Add turmeric powder
Add a pinch of turmeric powder and stir it well. Turmeric is rich in anti-inflammatory properties that help reduce inflammation.
Add lemon juice and honey
You can also add a teaspoon of honey and lemon juice. Drink this everyday on an empty stomach to boost your overall immunity.
