Ingredients
Two cups of thin poha (flattened rice), one-fourth cup peanut, one-fourth cup roasted chana dal, two tablespoons of oil, a teaspoon of mustard seeds, half a teaspoon cumin seeds, 8-10 curry leaves, 2-3 green chilli, half a teaspoon of turmeric powder, half a teaspoon red chilli powder, salt, and two tablespoons of dried coconut flakes.
Dry roast poha
Heat oil in a pan and add poha on it on low flame until golden brown and crispy from both the sides. Set it aside.
Prepare to temper
Heat oil in the same pan and add curry leaves, mustard seeds, cumin seeds and green chilli to it. Saute until it starts to crackle.
Roast peanuts
In the same pan add chana dal and peanut to it. Saute it for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
Assemble poha chivda
Now, take a mixing bowl and add roasted pha, and roasted peanuts together. Toss it well to combine the spices together.
Store and serve
Store the poga chivda in an airtight container. Eat this between to reduce hunger pangs. You can pair it with morning or evening tea.
