Menstruation is a necessary process and last usually between three to seven days every month. Abnormal periods can cause complications and health problems and needs to be appropriately addressed.
Heavy Flow
If you witness heavy blood flow every month during menstruation, it may be a problem. This may be due to PCOS or hormonal imbalance.
Missing Periods
If you have been missing your periods frequently, it may be a sign of abnormal periods.
Painful Periods
Periods cramps are normal during menstruation; however, if the pain is severe and unbearable, it can be a cause of concern.
Shorter Period Cycle
You may have a shorter period cycle if you bleed less than four days every month. A normal period lasts between four to seven days.
Multiple Clots
Passing multiple or large blood clots during menstruation may be a sign of an abnormal period.
You should visit your doctor immediately if you notice any of these symptoms, as they can indicate an underlying disease or lead to health complications.
