Have you ever noticed that mosquitoes tend to bite some people more than others? This is often due to certain scents and several other factors that draw mosquitoes toward them. Here are a few reasons why some people attract more mosquitoes than others. Tap to read!

Blood Type

Blood type plays a significant role, as people with type O blood attract more mosquitoes than those with blood type A, AB, or B.

Pregnant Women

Pregnant women tend to sweat and exhale more carbon dioxide (CO2), which attracts more mosquitoes to them.

Body Heat

Mosquitoes have the ability to locate heavy sweating and body heat easily, which attracts them towards us.

Sweat

Our sweat releases chemicals, such as lactic acid, uric acid, and ammonia, which cause body odour and attract mosquitoes to us.

Alcohol Consumption

Drinking alcohol can raise body temperature and cause excessive sweating, which alters the body scent and attracts mosquitoes.
