The 4 A’s of stress management are Avoid, Alter, Adapt, and Accept. These strategies help manage the stress that we come across throughout the day. You can practise them to be a calmer version of yourself.

Avoid

This strategy focuses on eliminating or avoiding unnecessary stress in life. We can reduce stress by avoiding certain situations, people, or activities that trigger it.

Alter

If you are unable to avoid certain situations, you can use the Alter strategy. This involves communicating effectively to clear misunderstandings and reduce stress.

Adapt

The third A stands for Adapt which focuses on changing our attitude when we can’t avoid or alter a situation. This strategy helps us respond more wisely thereby reducing stress.

Accept

The last A of stress management is Acceptance. This strategy encourages us to accept the situation as they are beyond our control and to reduce mental stress we just need to accept it
