Ingredients

Take 12 kokum (malabar tamarind), one cup fresh grated coconut, one green chilli, and two cloves garlic.

What Else Do You Need?

Take two tablespoon coriander leaves (Dhania), half teaspoon cumin powder (jeera), salt as per taste, and mint leaves.

Preparation

Soak kokum pods in half cup warm water for 30-45 minutes.

Squeeze

After soaking the pods, take them out, and squeeze to extract its juice. Then throw away the squeezed pods.

Mortar and Pestle

Take a mortar and pestle, add green chillies, cumin, garlic, coriander and salt in it, and crush them until combined.

Blend

Take a blender and blend the freshly grated coconut with water to make a smooth paste. Strain it to avoid any lumps.

Mix

Take a big bowl, add the coconut paste, kokum extract, crushed spices, and mix well until combined properly.

Garnish and Serve!

Once combined properly, taste it, and adjust the salt as per your taste. Garnish it with mint leaves, chopped coriander, and serve cold.
