What Else Do You Need?
One teaspoon cumin seeds and amchur (dry mango) powder, ¼ teaspoon clove, cinnamon and cardamom powder, two teaspoon gram flour, and ghee.
Preparation
Finely chop the dates after removing their seeds. Then take a bowl and add finely chopped ginger, green chillies, cashew, dates along with some salt in it.
Boil
Take a boiling pot and boil raw bananas for at least 15 minutes. After boiling, let them cool and peel the skin. Then grate them and keep aside for later use.
Sauté
Heat a pan on low flame, add ghee and cumin seeds. Once they start to crackle, add green chillies, ginger, and onion. Sauté them until golden brown.
Other Ingredients
Once the onions get browned, add grated banana, salt, red chilli powder, amchur, lemon juice, besan, clove powder, cinnamon, and cardamom powder.
Mix
After adding all the ingredients, mix them until well combined. Once combined, stir for a little bit and then turn off the flame.
Divide
Once the mixture is prepared, divide it into equal parts. Take a small portion of it and flatten it into a circular shape.
Dates
Make a small hole in it and add some dates. Cover the filling properly and seal all the sides.
Cook
Take a skillet, heat it on low-medum flame, and add a teaspoon of ghee. Then place the prepared tikkis in the pan and shallow fry for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
