Ingredients
700 ml milk, four tbsp custard powder (vanilla-flavoured), six tbsp sugar, one pound (454 g) plain cake, two and a half cups mango puree or canned mango pulp, and four tsp sugar.
Prepare the mixture
You need to prepare the mixture of cold milk with the custard powder in the pan before adding it. Warm or heat the milk in the saucepan.
Add custard powder
While slowly adding the custard powder. Stir constantly to avoid lumps and cook on medium or medium heat until the custard thickens, leaving it creamy.
Cool down custard
Let the custard sit completely cool down, and do your best to cover it so that skin does not form on top while cooling.
Place them in glass
Place layers of cake slices into a glass container, and evenly spread out a thin layer of the mango puree over the cake slices.
Chill and serve
Pour custard over the sliced cake, and repeat the layers of cake, custard, and mango puree until the container is filled. Chill it and serve!
