Ingredients
Take four medium mashed potatoes, two teaspoons of red chilli powder, one teaspoon garam masala powder, ¾ teaspoon asafoetida (hing), and salt as per taste.
What Else Do You Need?
Take 2-3 teaspoons of dried fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi), one teaspoon crushed black pepper, two cups gram flour (besan), and two teaspoons of oil.
Mashed Potatoes
Take a chakli press and grease it with some oil. Take mashed potatoes, add red chilli powder, garam masala powder, asafoetida and other ingredients, and mix.
Dough
Once the ingredients are mixed, add some oil and knead it into a dough. Then grease your palms with oil, take a small portion of dough and shape it into a log.
Chakli Press
Put the dough into a greased chakli press and cover it. Take a deep pan, heat oil in it, and press the chakli to put bhujiya directly into the hot oil.
Deep Fry And Serve!
Deep fry the dough until golden brown and take it out on an oil absorbent paper. Allow the aloo methi bhujiya to cool, crush it, and serve with evening tea.
