5-Minute High Protein Beetroot Dahi Sandwich Recipe For Busy Mornings

Ingredients

One small beetroot, 4-6 slices of bread, one cup of dahi (curd), two tablespoons of green chutney, a teaspoon of mustard seeds, 1-2 tablespoons of oil or butter, a few curry leaves, a teaspoon of salt, a teaspoon of black pepper, one chopped onion, one chopped tomato, and 1-2 green chillies.

Prepare beetroot

Start by peeling and washing the beetroot. Grate the beetroot into thin threads and grind it in a mixer to make a thin paste.

Prepare beetroot dahi filling

Take a mixing bowl and add curd, beetroot puree, salt, pepper, green chilli, corn, tomato, and onion. Stir it well to combine.

Assemble sandwich

Now, take two slices of bread and spread green chutney on one side and beetroot curd filling on the other side.

Prepare tadka

Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and curry leaves. Cook the mixture until it starts to sputter.

Toast sandwich

Heat butter in a pan and add sandwich to the prepared tadka. Toast the sandwich on both sides until golden brown and crispy.

Serve sandwich

Cut the sandwich into two and serve with tomato ketchup or green chutney. Pair this with morning and evening tea.
