What Else Can Cause Missed Period Besides Pregnancy?

Women's Health: Besides pregnancy, there are several possible causes for a missed period. However, pregnancy is the most frequent cause of a missed period, but there are some other lifestyle factors and medical reasons that affect your menstrual cycle. Hormonal irregularities, menopause and extreme weight loss are among the most prevalent causes if you're not pregnant. You may experience complete amenorrhea, which is a lack of menstruation for three or more months in a row or you may miss a period for 1 or 2 months. Here are some common reasons your period may be delayed: Sometimes, irregular periods can be induced by some exercising too much, medicines, having a very high body weight, or not eating enough calories. Hormone imbalances can also cause irregular periods.
