Inflammatory Bowel Diseases or IBD is a group of inflammatory conditions of the small and large intestine. This disease arises as an outcome of the interaction of environmental and hereditary factors leading to immunological responses and inflammation in the gut. Some common signs and symptoms are defecation, anaemia, fever, abdominal pain, diarrhoea, rectal bleeding, severe internal cramps/muscle spasms in the region of the pelvis and weight loss. People suffering from IBD have a higher risk of getting affected by Colon cancer.
