Why puffed rice for weight loss?
Puffed rice is a low-calorie snack that provides a quick snack. It is rich in fibre and antioxidants, which help in weight loss.
Ingredients
3-4 cups of murmure/rice puffs/puffed rice, one chopped tomato, one chopped onion, 2-3 tablespoons of roasted channa, 2-3 green chillies, 2-3 tablespoons of mint chutney, and 2-3 tablespoons of tamarind (imli) chutney.
Other Ingredients
Half a teaspoon of chilli powder, half a teaspoon of chaat masala, salt to taste, one tablespoon of sev, half a lemon, one tablespoon of roasted peanuts, one tablespoon of pomegranate seeds, and one tablespoon of coriander leaves.
Roast puffed rice and peanuts
Heat oil in a pan and add puffed rice with channa and peanuts. Roast the puffed rice until it starts to turn golden brown and crisp.
Add vegetables
Transfer the puffed rice into a big bowl and add chopped onions, chopped tomatoes, green chilli, roasted peanuts, and lemon juice. Toss it well to mix it with the ingredients.
Add spices
Now, sprinkle salt, chilli powder, and chaat masala on it. Add imili chutney and mint chutney to enhance the tangy flavour.
Garnish and serve
Garnish the chaat with chopped coriander leaves, sev, and pomegranate seeds on top. Toss it well and serve.
