The lining of your nose is sensitive and can irritate very easily, leading to bleeding. A nosebleed can occur for many reasons, like nose picking, allergy, and the common cold. These tips will help you stop a nosebleed.
Sit Up Straight
Don’t let your head tip backwards. Sit upright or stand up straight, keeping your head bent and slightly forward.
Use Ice
Apply ice if the bleeding from your nose does not stop. Applying ice to your nose bridge will constrict the blood vessels and help stop the blood flow.
Apply Some Pressure
Pinching or applying pressure to the soft and fleshy part of your nose can also help compress the blood vessels of your nose and prevent bleeding. Make sure not to exceed for more than 10 minutes.
Use Decongesting Spray
Nasal decongestion sprays certain medicines that help compress the blood vessels, relieving congestion, inflammation, and bleeding.
Keep Calm
Be patient and keep calm. If you panic during a nose bleed, then bleeding may take some time to stop.
