INGREDIENTS

To make this immune-boosting Kadha, you will need only five ingredients: one tablespoon of grated ginger, one teaspoon of grated turmeric, one cinnamon stick around one inch, one teaspoon of honey, and one teaspoon of lemon juice.

PREPARE INGREDIENTS

Firstly, peel and grate a small piece of ginger. Add a teaspoon of turmeric powder and cut a small piece of cinnamon stick into pieces.

BOIL WATER

Now, take two cups of drinkable water and boil it for 5 minutes on medium heat. You can also use an electric kettle to boil water.

ADD INGREDIENTS

Then add one tablespoon of grated ginger, one teaspoon of grated turmeric, and one cinnamon stick (around 1 inch) to the boiling water.

SIMMER

Simmer for 10–15 minutes or until the water becomes half of its quantity. Wait and let flavours dissolve into the water.

STRAIN

Now, filter the kadha with the help of a strainer or a muslin cloth to remove solids.

ADD HONEY AND LEMON

Let the kadha cool for a moment. Then one teaspoon of honey and one teaspoon of lemon juice. Stir well.

DRINK WARM

Drink the kadha while it's warm. You can have it once or twice a day.
