Why herbal mouthwash?
Alcohol-based mouthwash also kills the good bacteria in our mouth. It can also causes teeth staining or discolouration.
Irritation and burning sensation
Alcohol-based mouthwash causes dry mouth, sores, burning sensation and irritation in the mouth. It also has an increased risk of oral cancer.
Ingredients
Two cups of water, fresh mint leaves, a teaspoon of cloves, a small cinnamon stick, neem leaves, 3-4 drops of tea tree oil and a pinch of salt.
Boil Ingredients
Take a pan and add water, fresh mint leaves, cloves, cinnamon stick, and neem leaves. Boil this for 7-8 minutes.
Strain
Let it cool down and strain it using a sieve. Now, add salt and tee tree oil. Store this in a clean glass bottle.
How to use?
Take 2-3 tablespoons of mouthwash and swish it around your mouth for 30 seconds. Do not swallow and use it twice a day after brushing your teeth.
