Ingredients
400 grams of raw mangoes, 1.5 cups of sugar, 4-5 green cardamoms, 12-15 crushed saffron, a teaspoon of black salt, and two cups of water.
Prepare the mangoes
Take the raw mangoes, peel and grate them finely using a fine grater. Make it into shreds for better texture.
Combine sugar
Now, combine the grated mangoes with sugar and let it rest for 15-20 minutes. Cook the mixture in a pan until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Add the spices
Now, add cardamom, black salt, and crushed saffron to the mixture. Stir it evenly until it starts to thicken.
Cool and store
Let it cool down to room temperature and transfer it to a sterilised glass jar. Store it in a cool and dry place.
