Ingredients
One tomato, two garlic cloves, two cups of water, two teaspoons of cumin seeds, two teaspoons of black pepper, one small tamarind, a few curry leaves, two teaspoons of ghee, one teaspoon of mustard seeds, one teaspoon of turmeric powder, two dry red chillies, a few coriander leaves, and salt to taste.
Grind spices
Take a mixer and add cumin seeds, black pepper, garlic, and curry leaves. Blend it for a few minutes to make a fine powder.
Blend tomato
Take a separate mixer and add tomato with tamarind. Blend it for two minutes to make a smooth paste.
Boil water
Take a pan and add water to it. Let it boil for a few seconds and add grinded spices with tomato paste.
Brew tea
Mix the spices and paste in water and brew it for about five minutes on a low flame.
Prepare tempering
Take a pan and add ghee, mustard seeds, turmeric powder, and dry red chillies. Troast this for two minutes.
Serve
Serve the rasam tea after adding prepared tempering. Garnish it with coriander leaves and sip hot.
