Ranveer Singh's Favourite Sindhi Kadhi Recipe for Flavourful Lunch

Sindhi kadhi is a traditional gram flour-based curry which is spicy and tangy. It is made with a lot of veggies a paired with lunch for a comforting lunch. Tap to read the recipe!

Ingredients

Half cup (potato, okra, drumstick), one-fourth cup pumpkin, half a teaspoon of cumin and fenugreek seeds, pinch of asafoetida (hing) and turmeric powder, four tablespoons of gram flour, two green chillies, one inch of ginger, 5-6 curry leaves, two teaspsoons of red chilli powder and tamarind pulp, two tablespoons of oil and salt to taste.

Prepare vegetables

Boil the potatoes and saute the okra, pumpkin and drumsticks together for 3-5 minutes until soft and tender.

Prepare to temper

Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds, hing, green chilli, ginger and curry leaves. Cook it until it starts to sputter.

Roast gram flour

Now, saute the gram flour on a low flame for 5-7 minutes until golden brown. Pour the water and yoghurt, bring it to a boil.

Add spices and vegetables.

Now, add red chilli powder, salt, tamarind pulp, prepare tempering and sautéed vegetables. Simmer it for 10-12 minutes and serve it hot with rice.
