Ingredients

One cup kala chana, salt, three cups water, four tbsp oil, one tej patta, half tsp hing, two kali elaichi, 7-8 cloves, 8-10 kali mirch, one tbsp ginger, one green chilli, two tsp kashmiri chilli powder, half tsp haldi, one tbsp dhania, three-fourth tsp kasoori methi powder.

What else do you need?

Half cup aloo, half cup onion, half cup cucumber, half cup tomato, salt, half tsp Black salt, one and a half tsp Jeera, two tsp chaat masala, one tbsp amchur powder, half tsp red chilli powder, one Green chilli, one lemon, coriander leaves, pomegranate seeds.

Cook Boiled Chickpeas

Using a pressure cooker, boil the kala chana with water and salt. After 3-4 whistles, remove the excess soaked water.

Add Boiled Chickpeas to Spices

Add the boiled chickpeas to the pan with Kashmiri chilli powder, turmeric, coriander powder, and kasoori methi.

Prepare Chaat

Take a large bowl, and mix boiled aloo, onion, cucumber, diced tomato, black salt, cumin, chaat masala, and lemon juice.

Assemble Chaat

Add spiced boiled chickpeas to garnish with chopped coriander leaves and pomegranate seeds (optional). Serve it hot!
