In an interaction with nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar, the honourable Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi, shared that he loves to make and eat drumstick paratha due to its numerous health benefits.
INGREDIENTS
Gather one cup of whole-wheat flour, 1-2 drumsticks (moringa pods), one tablespoon of ginger-garlic paste, 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder, 1/2 teaspoon of cumin powder, 1/2 teaspoon of coriander powder, 1/4 teaspoon of chilli powder, water for kneading the dough, oil for cooking, and Salt to taste
MAKE DOUGH
Mix one cup of whole wheat flour, a pinch of salt, and water to form a smooth dough. Keep it aside and let it rest for 15–20 minutes
MAKE FILLING
Firstly, peel and grate the drumsticks. Sauté them with some oil, ginger-garlic paste, and spices like turmeric, cumin, coriander, and chilli powder until they are cooked.
ROLL
Now, take a small amount of dough and roll it out in the shape of chapati with a roller. Make sure you roll them evenly; they should not be too thick.
STUFF
Place a spoonful of the drumstick mixture in the centre of the chapati. Fold the edges to seal the filling and roll it out gently into a paratha.
COOK
Take a skillet and heat it on a medium flame for 2-3 minutes, then grease it with oil and cook drumstick-stuffed paratha in it. Cook it properly by flipping both sides.
SERVE
