Sakkarai Pongal

Sakkarai Pongal is a rich rice pudding made by combining melted jaggery, ghee, and milk. It is flavoured with cashews and cardamom and served as prasad to Lord Sun during the festival.

Curd rice

Curd rice is a cooling dish that is good for gut health. It is made by mixing yoghurt, rice, tempered green chillies and mustard seeds.

Coconut chutney

Coconut chutney is made by blending grated coconut with green chillies, curry leaves, and mustard seeds. It is a side dish served with medu vada.
