Ingredients
One cup of jaggery, one cup of whole wheat flour, two cups of water, 4-5 tablespoons of ghee, half a teaspoon of cardamom powder, two tablespoons of almonds, pistachios, cashews and raisins.
Melt jaggery
Take a pan and add water and jaggery. Simmer this until jaggery is completely melted and stir it continuously until it is dissolved.
Roast dry fruits
Take a separate pan and add two tablespoons of ghee with raisins, cashews and pistachios. Roast them until it is golden brown.
Roast atta
In the same pan add two tablespoons of ghee with atta. Roast it on low flame until it is golden brown.
Add jaggery syrup
Now, slowly add jaggery syrup to the halwa and stir it continuously to avoid lumps. Cook for 7-8 minutes.
Add dry fruits
When it starts to thicken add the roasted dry fruits and sprinkle cardamom powder to enhance the flavour. Serve hot.
