Ingredients
Half a cup of whole wheat flour, half a teaspoon of jeera (cumin seeds), half a teaspoon of chilli powder, a pinch of turmeric, salt to taste, one tablespoon of oil, and two tablespoons of milk.
Prepare dough
Combine wheat flour, jeera, red chilli powder, turmeric, salt, and oil. Gradually add some milk and knead a soft dough. Rest the dough for 15 minutes.
Roll them thin
Make small balls of dough and flatten each one into thin circles like roti. Use a rolling pin to do this.
Cook khakhra
Heat a pan and cook each roti on a low flame. Press them using a muslin cloth and cook on both sides until golden brown and crispy.
Add spices
Now, brush some ghee on cooked khakhra and sprinkle chilli powder, chaat masala, and cumin powder.
Serve
Let it cool down to room temperature and store it in an airtight container. Serve them with a hot cup of chai.
