Can drinking water while standing lead to joint damage?
This is a traditional myth that drinking water while standing can cause joint damage. While joint damage can happen due to osteoporosis, injuries, ageing, overuse, and a lack of synovial fluid, which provides friction to knee joints.
Dehydration
Lack of fluid in the body or dehydration can cause joint pain. Drink atleast 7-8 glasses of water everyday.
Overall hydration
The way you drink water does not matter as long as you are hydrated. Drinking enough helps reduce weakness and fatigue.
