INGREDIENTS FOR VADA

INGREDIENTS FOR BATTER
For batter, you will need 1 ½ cup gram flour, 1 tsp baking soda, ¼ tsp turmeric powder, salt to taste, and water as required.
PREPARE IT
Add chopped onions, green chilies, mustard seeds, and curry leaves to a heated pan. Add asafoetida, turmeric powder, and ginger-garlic paste.
POTATO FILLING
Mash the potatoes, then toss them with the mustard seeds, curry leaves, and spices. Add water, salt, and sugar. Cook for 3–4 minutes and mix them well.
MAKE THE BATTER
Whisk gram flour, turmeric powder, baking soda, and water to prepare a lump-free batter.
DEEP FRY
Roll the filling into a ball, dip it into the batter, and deep fry until golden brown. Drain it on absorbent paper.
