Ingredients
One kg banana, one-fourth cup of ghee, half kg jaggery, one-fourth cup water, one-fourth tsp cardamom powder, three tbsp cashew.
Peel the bananas
Peel the over-ripe bananas, chop them, and grind them into a smooth to make puree consistency. Keep this aside until you are ready to continue the cooking process.
Take kadai
Now, take a kadai and heat it. Afterwards, add the banana puree and cook till it gets glossy with no raw smell.
Add jaggery
Now, add jaggery and dissolve it into the mixture quickly, stirring it till it gets well combined. To avoid lumps.
Add ghee
Add the ghee in batches, and continue stirring until the halwa thickens and separates from the sides of the pan.
Serve
Allow this mixture to cool. Add cardamom and cashews, and place the mixture in the tray. Rest for three hours before cutting into squares and serve.
