Ingredients
Three muringakka (drumsticks), one cup grated coconut, three-fourths tbsp cumin seed, one tsp turmeric powder, five peeled garlic cloves, two green chillies, one tomato, salt, one and a half tbsp coconut oil, one and a half tbsp sliced shallots, one tsp mustard seeds, two dried red chillies, curry leaves.
Prepare a paste
You need to grind into a smooth paste coconut, cumin, turmeric, garlic, green chilli, and curry leaves.
Boil the drumsticks
Now, you have to boil the drumsticks (muringakka) for 10 minutes in salted water. Remove and keep them aside.
Combine the Paste
After that, add the paste to the boiled drumsticks and now, mix with one cup of water. You have to avoid lumps.
Add Chopped Tomatoes
Add chopped tomato to the mixture and cook over medium heat, adding salt to taste.
Tempering
In a pan with coconut oil, add mustard seed, sliced shallots, dry red chillies, and curry leaves. Pour on the curry.
