Ingredients
Four medium Egg yolks at room temperature, one-fourth cup granulated stevia, one teaspoon vanilla bean paste, two cups low-fat milk, four teaspoons cornflour, and a pinch of nutmeg.
Mix the Yolks and Stevia
Take a bowl, and mix together egg yolks and granulated stevia till the mixture is smooth and pale. Try to avoid lumps.
Add Cornflour and Vanilla
After that, you have to stir in the cornflour and vanilla bean paste. This makes sure there are no lumps.
Heat the Milk
Afterwards, take a saucepan and heat the milk over medium heat milk till it is hot enough but not boiled.
Combine and Cook
Now, place the hot milk in the prepared egg mixture. Mix it nicely. Take a pan and cook it on low flame. Mix it well till the custard gets thick.
Finish and Serve
Now, you can remove it from heat and garnish it with nutmeg. Let it cool. Serve it cold!
