Ingredients

One cup Moong dhuli dal, 1-2 green chillies, one tsp ginger, one tsp sugar, one-fourth tsp turmeric powder, one-fourth tsp red chilli powder, salt, one tsp eno fruit salt, oil, asafoetida/hing, one tsp mustard seeds, one tsp sesame seeds, two green chillies, coriander leaves.

Soak moong dal

Soak moong dal for about three to four hours. Meanwhile, make a fine paste of green chillies and ginger in a blender.

Add spices

After that, you need to add the haldi, hing, red chilli powder, salt, sugar, and oil to the batter and mix well.

Grease the plate

Grease the plate or tray to steam the dhokla. Heat the steamer. Stir Eno in batter and immediately pour the batter into the prepared plate.

Steam

Steam for 12 to 15 minutes. Then rest for 2 to 3 minutes, after which take out to cool a little before cutting.

Heat oil

Heat oil. Add mustard seeds and sesame seeds. Add green chillies and hing. Pour on dhokla and serve hot.
