Ingredients
One cup Makhana (fox nuts), one tablespoon of cocoa powder, 5-10 dates, 1-2 cups of warm milk, 5-6 Almonds or cashews, one tablespoon of cardamom powder, a pinch of saffron, and chopped rose petals & pista.
Roast makhana
Roast the makhana in ghee until crisp. Once crisp, add it to a mixer and grind the makahna into a fine powder.
Blend ingredients
Now, add cocoa powder, deseeded dates, milk, almonds and cashews, cardamom powder and saffron. Blend it into a smooth, lump-free mixture.
Cool the mixture
Cover the mixture with a plastic sheet and refrigerate it for 10-15 minutes. This will cool the mixture.
Freeze ice cream
Now, pour the mixture into a silicone tray or kulfi mould. Place wooden sticks in between and cover them with foil. Freeze the kulfi for 6-7 hours or overnight.
Serve
Once the kulfi is set, demould the ice cream and place it on the plate. Garnish each ice cream with chopped pista nd rose petals on top.
