Ingredients
Two cups of whole wheat flour, one-third cup of brown sugar, one cup of milk, a pinch of salt, one-fourth cup of oil, one tablespoon of butter, half a teaspoon of cardamom powder, and a teaspoon of baking powder.
Prepare Dough
Take a bowl and add whole wheat flour, brown sugar, lukewarm milk, salt, oil, butter and cardamom powder. Knead it into a soft dough.
Shape rusk
Shape the dough into a loaf and press it into a greased baking tray. Bake the bread at 180°C for 30 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
Bake rusk
Now, divide the bread into different shapes and arrange them on a baking tray. Grease butter on top and bake at 130° for 15 minutes.
Store
Once the rusks are baked, let them cool down to room temperature. Store them in an airtight container.
Serve
Spread some melted butter on the rusk and dip it in your chai for a guilt-free and healthy snack.
