Ingredients

One cup maida, one tsp sour yoghurt, one cup sugar, half cup water, half teaspoon lemon juice, as required saffron, a pinch orange colour, half ghee, as required rose petals for garnishing.

Prepare the Ghevar Batter

Take a bowl, prepare a mixture of maida, sour yoghurt, water, lemon juice, saffron, and orange colour. Stir it till it gets a smooth batter.

Heat the Ghee

In a deep frying pan, heat ghee. Here ghee should be hot but not smoking, ideal for frying the Ghevar.

Fry the Ghevar

Place the batter into the hot ghee, it should form a circular shape. Let it cook till it is crispy and golden on both the sides.

Prepare the Sugar Syrup

Assemble and Garnish
