Ingredients

Two cups of gram flour, half tsp red chilli powder, one-fourth tsp turmeric powder, one-fourth tsp Black pepper powder, one-fourth tsp carom seeds, one-fourth tsp cumin seeds, one-fourth tsp ginger paste, a pinch baking soda, oil, one cup whisked curd, water, black salt, half tsp roasted cumin seeds, one-fourth tsp amchur powder, one-fourth tsp black pepper powder.

Prepare the Pakoda Batter

Prepare a mixture for pakoda batter in a bowl. Add gram flour, red chili powder, turmeric, black pepper, carom seeds, cumin seeds, ginger paste, and baking soda.

Add Water and Mix

After that, add water to the mixture, mix it well to form a smooth, thick batter and avoid lumps. Let it rest for 10 minutes.

Heat Oil for Frying

Take a pan and heat oil on medium flame. Test with a small batter drop to ensure oil is hot enough.

Fry the Pakodas

Now, you have to shape the batter into small balls and carefully drop them into the hot oil. Fry till it gets golden and crispy.

Prepare the Dahi (Yoghurt) Mixture

Afterwards, whisk curd with black salt, roasted cumin, amchur powder, black pepper. Mix it well to form a smooth, tangy yogurt sauce and you should avoid lumps.
