Ingredients
3-4 paan leaves (betel leaves), 5-6 cups of milk, one tablespoon of gulgand, one tablespoon of sugar, half a teaspoon of fennel seeds, 2-4 cardamom, a pinch of elaichi powder, cashew, almond, pistachio and saffron
Soak dry fruits
Take a bowl with warm water and soak cashews, almonds, pistachios, and fennel seeds Drain the water after five minutes.
Grind ingredients
Add soaked dry fruits, paan leaves, gulkand, and fennel seeds to the blender with water or milk. Grind it into a smooth paste.
Boil milk with elaichi
Take a saucepan and add milk with sugar, elaichi powder, and saffron. Bring it to a boil and simmer it for five minutes.
Combine thanadai
Now, add the prepared paste to the warm milk and stir it well. Whisk it well to combine the ingredients.
Cool and serve
Strain it using a sieve to remove coarse particles. Add ice cubes and garnish with chopped dry fruits on top.
