Ingredients
Two beetroots, two tbsp oil, one tsp ginger, one tbsp green chillies, 3-4 garlic cloves, one-fourth cup chopped onion, one cup potatoes
What else you need?
One tsp red chilli powder, one tsp coriander, half tsp garam masala, half tsp amchur powder, one tsp chaat masala, salt, one tbsp maida, one tbsp cornflour, bread crumbs, and oil.
Preparation
Take beetroots, grate them, and peel them. Squeeze them to remove extra water using cloth or paper tissue.
Mix it
Place two tablespoons of oil in a frying pan. Add veggies like ginger, green chillies, garlic, and chopped onions; stir until soft and aromatic.
Mashed potatoes
Take a different bowl, boil and mash the potatoes until it gets free of lumps and soft.
Mix the ingredients
In a big container, mix grated beetroot, red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala, amchur powder, chaat masala, and salt.
Binding
Add maida and cornflour for binding. Add a little water, if necessary, to make it sit firm.
Shaping
Take small portions of the mixture and shape them into small, round, or oval-shaped kebabs. Roll each kebab in the breadcrumbs.
Frying the Kebabs
Heat oil in a karahi (frying pan). On medium flame, fry the kebabs till brown and crisp from both sides. Take them from oil and allow them to drain excess oil on absorbent paper.
