Why dates?

Dates are packed with fibre, protein, and healthy fats. It is rich in fibre that helps keep you full for longer and helps regulate sugar cravings. It also helps in muscle building.

Ingredients

Two cups of Medjool dates, one cup of melted dark chocolate, one tablespoon of coconut oil, one cup of melted peanut butter, and 1-2 tablespoons of chopped peanuts and walnuts.

Prepare dates

Start by deseeding all the dates. Remove the seeds and flatten them using your hands. Layer the dates on a baking sheet.

Melt dark chocolate

Take a saucepan and add dark chocolate and coconut oil. Cook this over medium heat for 15 minutes and stir it continuously.

Assemble chocolate

Now, add melted crunchy peanut butter on dates and add chopped walnuts in between. Top it off with melted dark chocolate.

Garnish and refrigerate

Garnish the chocolate bar with chopped peanuts or pistachios on top. Freeze for 30-40 minutes and cut into small squares.
